Neymar Da Silva Santos Junior
Admires Guardiola
HD Broadcast Quality
Barcelona superstar Neymar Jr said one day he would like to play in the United States and that Pep Guardiola was the manager he’d like to work with.

The Brazil striker, currently part of a dazzling Nou Camp strikeforce with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, was speaking as part of the build-up to Neymar Jr’s Five tournament, a unique five-a-side event with teams from 35 countries competing.
1-Those three are totally different game styles. The South
American tournaments, La Liga and the Champions
League…. They are totally different. In the South
American competitions you have a bit more space, but
sometimes they also hit you harder. In La Liga the game
is more compact, dynamic and the Champions League is
the toughest competition in the world. They have the
strongest teams in the world and the game is compact,
dynamic, tactical, it has everything. I had very good
experience of playing in all competitions: first in Brazil,
then South American leagues, then La Liga and at last
the Champions League. I’m growing a lot…

2-Tough. It’s always tough when you have to transition
from a different playing style… You leave your country,
you leave your home, your family, your friends. You go to
another country and stay away from your family, away
from the ones you like… It was tough, it was hard to
adapt but everything worked out pretty well in the end…

3-It was already a dream just to be there in the Ballon D’or
with Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, which are two players
that I respect a lot. If it happens someday I’ll be very
happy, very proud… but I’m working to make my team
win. I don’t work to be the best player in the world, I work
to see my team win every single competition.

4-I think so. I believe that this attack with Messi and
Suarez is the best I’ve played in. They are two
superstars and we get along very well on and off the
pitch… So everything comes together to make it work.
Even though we have a very strong rivalry on the
national teams: Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, we get
along really well. So I’m really proud to be part of this
trident and proud that we are making soccer history. We
don’t want to stop now, we want to keep writing history.

5-Yes, it was tough. Not because we lost, because losing
is part of the game, someone has to lose. But it was very
tough to get over the fact that I wouldn’t be able to play
in that semi-final. Getting injured in the game before that
was what made me sadder. Losing sucks, but it
happens. We won’t win every time. But to be out of the
game and unable to help my team-mates was very

6-I think so, I believe that Brazil can win the World Cup of
2018. Because it is Brazil, you know… Every
competition that Brazil is taking part in, they will be
among the favourites and we will be among the
favourites… but it’s easy to just say that Brazil can win.
We have to work harder, train harder and get prepared
way better than we got prepared for the last World Cup
to have the chance to win.

7-I believe that everything will work well in the organization
of the Olympic Games. I believe a lot in my country.
They said that in the World Cup it wasn’t gonna work but
everything worked out well. I believe it will work well in
the Olympics also and I expect to be able to represent
my country really well and bring the so expected gold
medal, that we never won in soccer

8-Yes there is one: Guardiola is a guy that I really admire
and who I would love to work with.

9-It’s tough to say if I wanna play in other countries…
nobody knows tomorrow, but I’m very happy where I am
right now, at Barcelona. I have the will to go back to
Brazil some day and I also would like to play in USA…
those two countries are two where I wanna play later on
my carreer.

10-It’s a place where the game is growing and attracting the
interest of lots of players, that are becoming more and
more popular there… so this makes me curious, it
makes me interested to see it closely…

11-To me, it’s an honor. I’m very proud of having such a big
competition with my name, I’m flattered and I’ve always
dreamed of this. Every child always dreams of this, I
used to create tournamentss with my name on video
games. So it’s like a dream coming true.

12-A hint that I would give to everybody is to enjoy
yourselves playing this tourney… I know that everybody
wants to win, wants to be the champion, but it’s only one
team that will win it. So enjoy yourself, enjoy that unique
moment of playing or even watching those games… And
believe in your dream. I believe that with a soccer ball
and a goal, or even with a soccer ball and two pair of flip
flops you can already be very happy.
